Characteristics of zinc alloy die casting:
1. Excellent die-casting characteristics: Zinc alloy has good die-casting properties, and it is easy to die-cast, complex, thin-walled, high-precision products.
2. Good mechanical and processing properties: Zinc alloy has high tensile strength, yield strength, impact toughness and hardness, and good elongation.
3. The surface of zinc alloy die-casting parts is very smooth, and it is easy to do various surface treatments: electroplating, spraying, painting, etc.
4. Has good mechanical properties and wear resistance at room temperature.
5. It does not absorb iron during melting and die casting, does not corrode the pressed type, and does not stick to the mold.
6. Efficient production: It is produced by hot chamber die casting machine with high production efficiency. The temperature of molten metal during die casting is about 420 °C, which can realize fully automatic production and low production cost.
Aluminum die-casting features:
1. High strength and surface hardness of aluminum castings Due to the chilling effect of the die-casting mold, it is crystallized under pressure. Therefore, the surface layer of the die-casting part has finer grain and dense structure, so the hardness and strength of the surface layer are relatively high. The tensile strength of die castings is generally 25% to 30% higher than that of sand castings, but the elongation is low.
2. It is possible to die-cast thin-walled castings with complicated shapes. Since the forming process of die-casting parts is always filled and solidified under pressure, the contour peaks and valleys, convex and concave, narrow grooves and the like can be clearly die-cast. The minimum wall thickness of the die-cast aluminum alloy can reach 0.5mm, and the minimum diameter of the cast hole is 0.7mm. For parts that are complex in shape, difficult or impossible to manufacture by cutting, even if the output is small, die-casting is usually used, especially when it is difficult to manufacture by other casting methods or other metal forming processes, and die-casting is most suitable.
3. High productivity. Among all casting methods, die casting is one of the most productive methods. This is mainly determined by the characteristics of the die casting process, and is improved as the production process is mechanized and the degree of automation is further developed. Generally, the cold chamber die casting machine can die-cast 300-700 times per shift, which is suitable for mass production. Each operation cycle is generally 10 s to 1 min, and a multi-cavity process can be realized, and the yield is doubled. Compared with other casting methods, die casting also saves or even completely eliminates the machining time and equipment of the parts. Some data show that using a die-casting machine to produce a batch of parts can save 15 to 60 metal cutting machine tools.
4. It can omit assembly operation and simplify manufacturing process. When die-casting production, other metal or non-metal parts can be embedded to improve the local strength of die-casting parts to meet certain special requirements (such as wear resistance, insulation, magnetic permeability, etc.) And change
